[mythtv-users] No Audio:ALSA Sound, Intel D865PERL, RHFC1 2.4.22, Myth HOWTO

I have an Intel D865PERLL motherboard which has an ADI 1985 (Integrated
6-channel ADI 1985 with SoundMAX* 4 XL and AudioESP* according to the web
site).

I am following Jerod Wilson's Fedora Myth HOWTO. I am using the
kernel-smp-2.4.22-1.2166.nptl_35 as per Jerod's guide. I have gone into the
mixer and un-muted everthing. I have tried playing WAV files, CDs, and using
the link in- all with no luck. I even tried plugging my speakers into all of
the different audio jacks in the computer- again no luck. I'm not even trying
any of the digital outputs.

Below I have attached my dmod info and my /etc/modules.conf file. In brief, I
am getting a bunch of: ALSA intel8x0.c:613: codec_read 0: read timeout for
register 0x2c errors. If this is the problem, how does one troubleshoot/fix
the root cause? I'm sure this is a total newbie question, but my searches
didn't help me.

Thanks,

Mark
