[mythtv-users] Rotel RSP-1066 + MythTV system

I have a Rotel RSP-1066 preamp, which can act as a video switcher. It
lets you set up the device that goes to the A/V outputs such that it's
different from the one you're actually listening to / watching. This
works out really nicely, because I have it routing the S-video and audio
from my cable box into both my TV and the inputs on my PVR350 on a
full-time basis, but I can watch / listen to a DVD on the TV / stereo
without interrupting this routing.

Probably there are oodles of receivers that can handle this but I
thought I'd throw it out there that the Rotel seems to do a really nice
job. The video quality of the rerouted signals is great.

Now if I could just figure out how to get the Myth PC to switch channels
on the cable box! There's an RS-232 port on the back of it -- maybe
somebody's written a serial channel-changer app for the Motorola DCT-2000?
