[mythtv-users] Recording two programs back to back

Examples of shows that I have had this problem are American Chopper (recorded okay at 9:00 pm) followed by American Hotrod (got hung up after 715 MB) (same channel)

Survivor (recorded fine) followed by CSI (got hung up after 255 mb) (same channel) I know the CSI timings can be a little flakey so I'm not using this as an absolute reference.

Recordings that are scheduled to go off after the failure work fine without any human intervention.

I've also somewhat randomly picked two 30 minute or 60 minute things on the same channel to record. The 30 minute things are fine, the second 60 minute thing always hangs about 250M-1 Gb into the show.

I'm fairly certain that they are single recordings, I've not gotten real comfortable with repeating recordings. I do have a scheduled recording that runs everyday at 3:00PM, I'll add the next show as a daily recording to see what happens.

Disk space should be good, I've got about 50G free on the /video filesytem.

The backend status says they all start/stop at the top of the hour.

I could understand the importance of start/stop times if
the second show did not get recorded at all, but the second shows starts fine but dies 10-30 minutes later.

An SQL extract is possible, I'd either need some help with the query or have to do a fair amount of reading.

I modified the mythbackend startup script to log all to a disk file, hopefully this will shed some light on the problem. The log file is on a different disk/controller so I'm not worrying about filling up the disk.

I do hardware & networks for a living, so troubleshooting comes naturally to me. (Spelling is a different story)
