[mythtv-users] Problem with backend disappearing

Hi,
I have been having a problem with the backend becoming uncontactable,
since 0.13.

Until recently I had put it down to the backend having too many other
things to do (It was used as a general pupose machine as well as for
myth). This is no longer the case, but I am still having periodic
problems (About once per day). What tends to happen is that the
Frontend, or mythweb will suddenly be unable to conect to the backend.
The backend is still running, and if left, will continue to record
everything it should.

I am using the Axel's packages, on Redhat 9.0, with a PVR-250 card.
There is nothing obvious in the mythtv log as far as I can see. This is
part of this evenings log, after the backend had stopped responding.

2004-02-03 21:00:04 Started recording "Faking It" on channel: 104 on
cardid: 1, sourceid 1
2004-02-03 21:00:04 Changing from None to RecordingOnly
Input #0, mpeg, from

   Stream #0.0: Video: mpeg1video, 720x576, 25.00 fps
   Stream #0.1: Audio: mp2, 48000 Hz, stereo, 384 kb/s
Opening port for /dev/ttyS0 and setting RTS
RTS bit set ok
Writing data ("104") now

2004-02-03 21:00:11 Found changes in the todo list.
2004-02-03 21:33:37 unknown socket
2004-02-03 21:38:21 unknown socket
2004-02-03 21:59:18 unknown socket
2004-02-03 22:00:03 Changing from RecordingOnly to None

The three 'unknown socket' messages were produced when I tried to use
mythweb (Which returned an unable to connect to the backend error).
Has anybody else seen this problem?

Thanks

Jonathan
