The way it used to work was that it would highlight conflicting
recordings, but if you didn't resolve the conflict it would still record
one (not sure what selection method it used - it was probably completely
arbitrary).
I can understand having some vaguely intelligent way of resolving the
conflicts between equal priority shows, but it should still highlight the
conflicts so they can be manually resolved (yes, I know I can still
manually force it to record one show rather than the one it auto selected,
but it nolonger hilights the conflict so it's harder to spot). It doesn't
seem possible to definitively decide which show the user wants to record
if they are equal priorities, so shouldn't the user be given a choice?
A lot of the time the autoconflict system has automatically made the wrong
choice between conflicting equal priority recordings and I have missed
something I wanted recording because when I went to the resolve conflicts
screen I didn't spot the conflict because it's nolonger highlighted - this
seems wrong to me.
