Aha Mythfrontend - of course a different set of setup
menus :)

I tried various settings of gui and screen,
particularly 640x 480 which managed to change the
display resolution - so I was changing something
relevant, however, whatever values I put in, the
buttons are either fully visible, 30% visible, 0%
visible (although "there and "selectable") across
various screens. So the problem remains.
