[mythtv-users] /dev/lirc working, lircd/irw not?

Hi

I'm running lircd 0.7.0, configured for hauppauge and while i can't
get anything out of running "irw" and "lircd" with different
configurations, i do get stuff from "cat /dev/lirc" when pressing
buttons on the remote. What could be the problem?

The lircd logg seems to be ok and the dmesg shows the loading of the
drivers without any problems (and they seem to work). Could it be just
the configuration of lircd? I've tryed a few different ones that other
users have reported to work with my card and none of them worked :(.

In the howto they use some patched version of lircd, but i can't get
that particular version to compile, what is that patch for?

My tv-out card is an hauppauge wintv pvr 250 and i use the included
remote control.
