Wish I could help you out, but as a noob to linux, I am not so much
giving up on my HD3000 for NTSC, but at least putting the project on
hold until better drivers come out.  Not sure if it is just my setup,
but NTSC looks pretty awful in xawtv and tvtime.  I can get sound and
everything in there, but once I do "watch tv" in Myth, I just get a
blank screen.   That is just one of many problems I'm having right now
(can't watch dvd, can browse music but can't listen, 0 byte
recordings, etc...).  So I'm holding off for the time being before I
go through the hassle trying to get NTSC working properly becuase even
if I do, it's probably not going to be good quality.  I need a better
suited myth box in general (dell 8100, 128 ram, ATI 7000).

So from one HD3000 owner to another, I'd just go with a PVRx50 for
NTSC and this card for HD.  Might change in the future with newer
drivers and better community support as people will have actually had
a chance to play around with these cards.
