[mythtv-users] OpenGL issues

After a recent major upgrade using the atrpms package repository, my
openGL no longer works in mythgallery Originally, I got "Xlib:
extension "XFree86-DRI" missing". I found this article:

http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=17239

The quick summary of that article is: XFree86 is upgraded, which sucks
in XFree86-Mesa-libGL. This conflicts with the openGL libs from nvidia.
I did the:

rpm -e --nodeps XFree86-Mesa-libGL

fix mentioned in that article, which made the above error go away, to be
replaced with a new error, something like "openGL not found". I
checked, and there were dead symbolic links in /usr/lib and
/usr/X11R6/lib for libGL.so and libGLcore.so. I tried re-pointing them
to the files installed by atrpms, and the error went away, but now I get
a blank screen (no other errors). I am next going to try and just
delete (well, rename for safety) those symbolic links.

Does anyone have any advice for things I can try? I'm about to give up,
and just use mythgallery without openGL support. One thing that would
be nice to know is: what is the layout of openGL in a working system?

Thanks for any help,

william
