I'm in the same boat.  I can receive QAM on my AccessDTV card, but there's
no mechanism to record it - and that's under Windows, where the card is
supported.  There's not much support for Janus-based cards under Linux,
nevermind QAM.  On the other hand, the FusionHDTV 3 QAM-specific version
should be arriving sometime next week.  I'll post an update on it's true
QAM capabilities at that time.
