[mythtv-users] OSD fades slowing down system

Hi,

I´m running mythtv based on knoppmyth r4v2 on a p3 700, 3 x 128 MB Ram,
Geforce 4 MX, PVR 250 and onboard via sound.

The system works so far, with the newest xmltv i even got a tvsource for
germany. I got one problem:

Whenever i switch channels, i get the osd with epginfo and as soon as it
starts to fade away the system is stuttering, no realtime tv anymore. Which
components influence display speed? I got nvidia drivers installed and i
thought a p3 700 should be able to handle basic mythtv, a wrong thought?
Slot 1/Via Board (soon to be replaced by a compaq garcia microatx i815).
Another solution i could live with, is there any possibility to disable the
fading?
