I suspect it's technical/broadcast differences - I don't think we have 
the black frames around adverts - we (usually) have the channel banners 
instead.
The scene change detection is just too woolly for me - I don't think 
I've seen any commercials detected properly - but plenty of odd tags :)

Yup - hence the 'usually'.
But try the '4 <ffwd> ' combination - much easier than 8/9 ffwds :)
(Works with a remote too)
