[mythtv-users] PiP locks frontend

I'm running MythTV CVS 0.15.20040331-1 on a box with a WinTV 250+350
dual tuner setup, FC1 install based on Jarod's Howto (except for
running CVS), and ivtv 0.1.10pre2-ck36c (also tried other ck## versions
and 0.1.9 vanilla with no change noticed).

I'm having severe difficulty trying to get picture-in-picture
functionality in mythtv. I don't think its an ivtv or hardware issue,
because I CAN capture two channels at the same time, even while
outputting via the 350's tv-out, with no problem.

When I hit menu and then select PiP-Enable/Disable, the frontend stops
responding to all input. No keyboard or remote input has any effect,
although the original channel continues to play forever, and recordings
continue to work (so the backend is still running ok).

In the logs I get multiple occurances of "/dev/video0: Input/Output
error," then finally, "No data for 15 seconds, give up!" or something
to that effect. However, if the backend later tries to use that same
input for a recording, it works fine!

I can't figure out why both tuners can record simultaneously just fine,
but the frontend locks when trying to do PiP. I can only assume I've
made some error in my setup, or its a new bug in MythTV CVS.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
Jason
