Well, if your wife is the especially forgiving/understanding type, you
could modify it to be 1000/(times_I_do_dishes_per_week +1).  However,
as that decreases the WAF dramatically, you might want to consider
doing dishes more often! >:}

Alternatively, with spousal approval, you may be able to define a
substitional relationship between

times_I_do_dishes_per_week and times_I_do_X_per_week

Where X is the subset of any chores your wife deems appropriate.
