I think you have described roughly how I use Myth.  I rarely watch "live" TV
(although it works fine).  I find that by going through the Program Finder
on a Sunday night and tagging everything that is interested, I capture 95%
of what I would watch and then I watch it when I have time and I can skip
commercials...  I do occasionally watch the news live, that's about it.

My wife resisted at first as well but she wouldn't be without it now.  She
loves it and she adjusted "culturally" to having it on the main TV.

Has she used it and doesn't like it, or is she just resisting the suggestion
of change?

It's ready enough that I'm building one for my mother, so we'll see how that
goes....
