[mythtv-users] 800x600 worse quality?

I just changed my desktop from 1076xwhatever to
800x600 to see KDE desktop better.
Will this lower my mythtv viewing quality?
I have slight black bar on bottom [and sometimes right,
silly phillips big screen auto screen move for no burn-in]
and thought it would fix that too but didn't.

I am currently using Jarrod's FC1 on old compaq
amd 2000+ with predator mx440 card.

moving to chaintech 7nif with 2600+ this weekend,
should I still use predator or just onboard video?
Going for low power/heat noise.
