[mythtv-users] S/PDIF with OSS

I've got an nForce2 board and I want to get S/PDIF output going.
There's been plenty of posts about how to do it with ALSA, and I have
that working on myth (set device to ALSA:hw:0,2).

Two questions:
1. What should I use for the mixer device so that Myth can control the
output volume? Or is there no such control?

2. Is it possible to do S/PDIF out with OSS? I've found OSS to be a bit
more stable. (I'm not talking about OSS emulation from ALSA but native
OSS.)

thanks
Hamish
