[mythtv-users] disabling unused parts

I don't believe you need a capture card to run mythmusic.  You should be 
able to install as normal, then just start mythtfrontend instead of both 
mythbackend and mythfrontend.  you can have a front end machine that 
doesn't have mythbackend running and it no problem.  After You've got it 
installed just edit the xml files and remove all the other menu options. 
   and you would have mythmusic only.
