indeed, i do use the osd to change channels, mostly because i get 3-5 seconds of lag between channel changes as the buffer builds. but the osd gives a very narrow view of what's on the boob-tube. i sometimes prefer the 6 line, 1.5(?) hour viewing window the menu will give you.
