[mythtv-users] CPU usage spikes in liveTV on EPIA M10000

I'm getting occasional CPU usage spikes (to 96%) when watching live TV in
Mythfrontend on an EPIA M10000-based system. When this occurs, I get
stuttering video/audio.

Specs are as follows: MythTV .14, M10000 MB, 256MB Ram, 7200RPM 80GB Seagate
Drive, Gentoo-based, open source CLE266 driver, XFree-EPIA, Kernel-2.4-EPIA,
PVR250 w/ ivtv driver. The input is from DirecTV DSS, if that matters...

It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does (I'd say every 5-10 minutes),
it usually happens multiple times in succession. I'm running all of the
modules except Mythweb, and I've optimized the system by turning off
unnecessary processes. When it is not spiking, I usually see around 40%-60%
Mythfrontend CPU utilization when watching live TV.

Has anyone else with a similar setup experienced this? Are there other things
I can check or things I can do to tweak the system?

TIA

Paul
