Avidemux2 (2.0.22) includes MPEG2PS (AKA Vob) export, as well as all the
usual suspects, nice UI, filters etc.
Will also load MythTVs nuv format.
Commecial cutting does not usually work for me either, but most of my
recording is done off SciFi, and I think they intentionally defeat it.
(0 black frames) It works fine on any broadcast station I've recorded
off.(USA)
I have no idea what to use under Windows, I only have ever used it at
work, and when drafted to fix friends machines...
