[mythtv-users] lirc + serial.o conflict?

No that's right, read the lirc docs...

The serial port hardware is controlled by either lirc or serial - not 
both :)

rather than remove serial you can:
setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart none

or
/etc/modules contains all the modules loaded automatically on my distro 
(KnoppMyth)
