Some video card drivers (namely, nVidia's, to date) don't support interlaced 
modes, so 1920x1080i isn't an option. So you go either 960x540p or 1920x540p. 
540p is electronically equivalent to 1080i from the TV's point of view -- it 
gets 540 lines per frame in both cases.

Nope. But you can certainly try what I'm using
