This is the modeline I am using for 4:3, if you have a better one please let

My Sony TV does the same thing. Looks great for HD material, as long as you
have XF86Config setup to understand that the display is a 16x9 aspect ratio.
That assumes I am using one of Doug's 540p modelines. My TV does not
automatically go into 16:9 squeeze mode, if I use a 480p modeline.
