I set it up the same way as described in the installation manual, I guess that 
should have worked, don't you think? I might try it that way if the 
recordings start stuttering because of the running tv_grab_nl_gert.

btw, I run vixie-cron (gentoo default), in case that would shed light on this 
odd behaviour.
