[mythtv-users] no sound with C-media 8738

I have just finished setting up myth on a Debian unstable system. I have
a PlayTV pro card, with line out that is going in to my onboard C-media
8783 sound card to the line in connection. I can get sound through xawtv
but I understand that that is only an analog stright through signal. I
install alsa as was recomened and read all the other howto's. I have
also tried all the different options of muting different inputs and
setting them to record. I was looking into btaudio but could not find it
listed as compatable with my sound hardware. Can any one point me in the
right direction of fixing this sound problem.
