I hadn't. I have now. I'd need a blue to get anything halfway decent...

How much of a factor would it be that I live in Maple Valley (the key
factor being the valley, as in I think there are hills partially
blocking my LOS to the towers)...

Heh. Will do. Assuming it ever shows up...

A number of reasons.
1) The price and features looked good compared to some other junk I
found
2) I was able to get it from a place 10 minutes from my house, so
exchanges wouldn't be a hassle (Pacific Custom Cable,
www.pacificcable.com )
3) I know squat about what I'm doing, and had no idea the Key Digital
adapter even existed until after I'd already purchased the AA.

And some College football in HD tonight. Now I'm REALLY looking forward
to the fall season on ABC (no NBC or CBS on Comcast in HD yet).
Hopefully, I can pick up NBC, CBS, Fox and UPN w/the pcHDTV...

Woohah! I finally got it to work. Well, mostly. According to the folks
at Audio Authority, and some evidence I found on the 'net, nvidia cards
don't do interlaced output very well, if at all, so I needed a
progressive mode line. I've been unable to get 1920x540p to work, but
I'm rock solid at 960x540p, though the picture is overscanned quite a
bit (still haven't figured out how to fix that, but I adjusted the
MythTV GUI to compensate). Even at only 960x540, this is WAY better
than S-Video. Me like now.
