Hi, i just compiled and installed lirc without an issue, but then whenever i try to test it with mode2 i get a message that /dev/lirc is unavailable. Has anyone else had this problem, also do i need to recompile the kernel after installing lirc? P.S. I'm using red hat 9.0 and a leadtek winfast tv 2000xp reciever.
