[mythtv-users] How do you handle a digital cable box

I built my own receiver/transmitter using the various circuits on lirc,
and use the external channel changer and it works beautifully. The trick
is that you have to build them into one device. LMK if you want the
circuit(s) I used.

I know this a newbie question, but I didn't see anything about it in the
FAQ.  How do you handle something like a digital cable box, where a
tuner card won't help?  Is there something equivalent to the Tivo remote
emitter that can be used?
