The drivers which via has released are binary only and tied to specific
kernels.  I dont believe I saw gentoo on the list.  Check at:

There is also a very bright soul who has reverse engineered the driver:

I don't know the status of this with mythtv though...

All in all it looks like it won't be long though before it all works on
all platforms!
