[mythtv-users] Channel changing delays

Also, not only is there a delay because its slightly buffered, but the
buffer itself grows to be very large and is deleted when you change
channels...this might be causing a slowdown, too?  i know that if i watch an
entire show without really touching the channels, and then change the
channel, the pause is much much longer than normal.

are the default buffer settings optimal for the average user?  i wonder if
down the road the architecture of the buffer will improve... ? (whereas
perhaps a new, second buffer could be created and the other one is
deleted/whatever in the background?)
