The thing is, with Myth some themes have menu selections laid out vertically
(like the old Iulius or new Visor themes), while some have them laid out in
rows (like the 'blue' theme).  Using the arrow as you suggest may make sense
for some themes, but not others.

Also, ESC is used to exit *any* screen, including LiveTV, where the  L/R
arrows are REW/FF and the Up/Down arrows are CH+/-.

Someday we might have fully run-time configurable keybindings (care to
volunteer?), but until then you've got to modify the source to change keys.
