[mythtv-users] COOL, I almost fried my tv and my monitor...

I figure I'd post this asap since it may save somebody some trouble...

I got the latest ivtv (today's B version) and everything was great... of
course I had to mess with it so I went and got the latest CVS for
mythtv. It compiles, the gui comes up (am using the PVR-350 tv-out),
then I try to watch live tv and it segfaults. with the error:

IVTVFB_IOCTL_GET_STATE: Invalid argument.

So I reboot, it comes up on my monitor as usual, everything's loading
(BTW, since I'm testing I do not have mysql, mythbackend, or X starting
at boot) anyway, as it is booting and the modules are being loaded my tv
suddenly shows the KDE desktop, remember, x is not running and there a
really high pitch sound comming out of the tv... I think the pvr-350's
tv out was still sending the signal from before the crash so, I
shutdown, power off and then on, boot up and all is well except the tv
shows really stange black and white horizontal lines, I start mysql,
mythbackend, start X, start mythfrontend, all works until I try to watch
tv. Same error, try to reboot and now the monitor screen shows some
thin vertical lines and everthing's frozen.

Any ideas?
