Hi all,

I'm a bit stuck trying to get MythTV up and running for the first time,
so if anyone wants to jump in, feel free :-))

I've got a Nehemiah EPIA box running RH9.0 with the
linux-2.4.23-pre7-epia2 kernel on it. The VIA drivers for X11 are
installed, and dmesg looks reasonable to me..

I start up X, and happily log in as 'mythtv', cd to the 'setup'
directory and run './setup'. This takes me through steps 1,2 & 3, and it
all seems to be fine until I get to '4', where I get a blank screen, and
the message (as in the subject) on the commandline.

What's odd is that I can test_ioctl -a -d /dev/video3 fine, and when I'm
choosing my video card, it provides the correct inputs available for
/dev/video3 (4 composites, a tuner, and 3 or 4 svideo's), so it must be
able to read them at some stage. I've tried running 'setup' as root as
well, which didn't make any difference, and I've tried setting the
permissions to 666 on /dev/video*, again that didn't make any difference.

I'm in the process of checking out and making the very latest version,
but since I'll probably get a reply from the mailing list before the
machine finishes compiling (grin I thought I'd push this out to anyone
in-the-know...

ATB
   Simon.
