Hi Chris,

just wondering did u have any major problems with dependencies? u running
stable?

i cant install
        libqt3-dev, Depends: libpng-dev,
        libpng-dev, Depends: libpng3 (= 1.2.1-1.1) but 1.2.1-1.1.woody.3 is
to be installed

So i tried,
        dpkg -i --force-depends-version
libpng-dev_1.2.1-1.1.woody.3_i386.deb
            dpkg: regarding libpng-dev_1.2.1-1.1.woody.3_i386.deb containing
libpng-dev:
             libpng-dev conflicts with libpng-dev
libpng2-dev provides libpng-dev and is installed.
            dpkg: error processing libpng-dev_1.2.1-1.1.woody.3_i386.deb
(--install):
conflicting packages - not installing libpng-dev
            Errors were encountered while processing:
            libpng-dev_1.2.1-1.1.woody.3_i386.deb

im stuck in an dependency loop :)
anyone have any suggestions

thanks all

michael
