Hi all,

I have mythtv 0.11 running at my P4 2GHz and the cpu load is sometimes very
high.

It's 100% while recording or live tv. While watching a recording it's only
10%.

there are two processes running, which take all cpu.
here is what top says

Tasks: 99 total, 3 running, 96 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
Cpu(s): 70.7% us, 28.0% sy, 0.0% ni, 0.0% id, 0.0% wa, 1.0% hi, 0.3% si

2 days ago i tried startin mythtv at boot time via /etc/init.d/myth-backend
(from the debian packages)
Then the load was this high. After that i killed mythbackend and started it
manually. The load was only at 40% or so.

Today i tried again, and now the load is always at 100% even if i start
mythbackend directly.

Does anybody know where my problem is?

I'm recording with 480x480 MPeg, but with RTJPEG its the same.

Thx
Flo
