Are you running a remote frontend?  You didn't say so I'm assuming it is 
local.  Did you look at section 18 of the docs or did you just figure 
that even though you were having problems this musn't be a problem so 
I'll just go ask on the list wasting the time of everyone who took the 
time to write the docs and provide useful error messages?
