Hi -
I know this isn't a mythtv problem, but I'm having some issues with
XVideo, and I hoped people here could help. Whenever I try to use
something with XVideo (mythtv, xawtv, mplayer -vo xv etc.) the program
segfaults.
I'm using the nvidia (proprietary) driver, and it works for everything
else.
I'm on redhat 9.
In the past i've never had this problem before, so it seems kind of
strange.
here's what mythtv says right before it segfaults (mythbackend doesn't
segfault - it is still running perfectly) -
connecting to backend server: 127.0.0.1:6543
Opening OSS audio device '/dev/dsp'.
Over/underscanning. V: 0.000000, H: 0.000000, XOff: 0, YOff: 0
Using XV port 89
Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
Segmentation fault
Changing from WatchingLiveTV to None
xawtv -v 2 segfaults with the messages:
main: initialize hardware ...
xv: get XV_BRIGHTNESS: 0
xv: get XV_CONTRAST: 4096
xv: get XV_SATURATION: 4096
xv: get XV_HUE: 0
[pid=25112] segfault catched, aborting
Aborted
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt Jones
