Thanks!  With that option it is now transcoding.  Although its 
slooooooow.  Very slow.  Under 10 fps.  :(  I even went and setup an 
openmosix cluster on my 4 pcs only to find out that transcode uses 
shared memory threads in a way that doesn't migrate to other nodes.  
(what a let down, wasted the whole afternoon ugh, though I've been 
meaning to play with that anyway)

ffmpeg is much much faster, is there no way to do this using ffmpeg?

So anyway at this rate it should be done transcoding sometime tomorrow.
