[mythtv-users] Prebuffering Pause on RH9, epia m-10000 and mythtv CVS install

Just an update here...

My problem seems to have been /usr/bin/artsd -- the sound server -- I'm
killing it in my myth startup script.  I should probably find where it
is being started and remove it properly :-P

Things are a lot smoother, even at bit rates > 6000.

I also changed the OSD fadeaway setting to 0 in
/usr/local/share/mythtv/themes/blueosd/osd.xml

One thing I'm thinking of doing is having the channel stay muted when
changing channels until the OSD isn't displayed... anyone done this ?
