[mythtv-users] Improving performance of Hauppauge remote?

I have the Hauppauge gray IR remote working with mythtv, per the 
instructions in 
"http://pvrhw.goldfish.org/tiki-page.php?pageName=rh9pvr250".  It's 
somewhat flaky, however, and misses some key presses.  Does anyone have 
suggestions about how to physically place the IR receiver, such as with 
light or dark paper behind it, to improve its performance?
