[mythtv-users] Install Issue

Ok, here is my latest problem, i want to install mythtv via apt, but whenever i try it forces me to install lirc, which i compilled from the cvs, i'm using synaptic as a gui frontend, what would all you people ou there recomend i do, i want to install mythtvsuite, and all it's dependencies, but i don't want to install lirc, how can i specify thati want it to apt to install mythtv-suite without installing lirc.
