Hi all,
I've searched the mailing list archives, but haven't found anything that
directly relates to my setup.
The problem is that I am continually getting the "prebuffing pause"
message on Mythfrontend. As such, the video and audio are jerky.
My setup is:
- Redhat 9 - stock w/ OSS sound drivers
- latest VIA binary drivers (0032)
- VIA M-10000 Nehmehia
- 512 MB RAM
- PVR-250 capture card
This occurs with the current (as of ~10:30am this morning) CVS of mythtv
and the IVTV drivers from ~Sept 28th.
I have set the audio to be 48000 in all my recording profiles, and 48000
in my PVR-250 capture profile. I am recording at 480x480.
I have enabled CLE-266 hardware decoding -- CPU load is less than 30%
when playing.
Note that this occurs when playing liveTV and with the playback of
recorded programs.
DMA is enabled on my harddrive -- I'm getting ~50 MB/sec from hdparm -t
/dev/hda. The /mnt/store filesystem is ext2.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Below is the output from mythfrontend:
