[mythtv-users] Hauppauge "Freestyle" name, XP MCE 2004 release

I was reading an article on the release of XP MCE 2004 (trying to heist
ideas), and saw that the codename for the first XP MCE was "Freestyle",
which is likely why the early OEM Hauppauge PVR-250 is/was referred to
by the same name.

If anyone cares, there's a pretty long, in-depth review of XP MCE 2004
here:

http://www.winsupersite.com/reviews/windowsxp_mce2004.asp

Some of the information and ideas could be relevant to the future
development of MythTV, though MythTV appears to be already ahead of MCE
in a few areas (like HD support). Of greatest interest to me are some
of the add-ons by 3rd-parties. The on-demand movie (CinemaNow &
Movielink) and music (Napster, reborn) services could potentially be
pretty cool.
