[mythtv-users] Stops recording live TV when paused during watching while recording

I was recording and watching Kings of Comedy tonight (2 hours long), and
paused it around 45 minutes through to go do some other stuff.  When I came
back around a half hour later, the indicator in the top right showed 1:10:10
of recording, and it was not getting any longer.  There were no entries in
the mythbackend.log file incidicating anything wrong, the file for the
recording was not getting any longer, and I was still unable to go back to
viewing Live TV - it stated that all available inputs were still being used
for recording. Even AFTER the program was finished airing, I was still
unable to watch TV until I restarted mythbackend.

/video is a reiserfs partition on a 250GB Maxtor drive.
 
Any ideas as to what's going on here?
