[mythtv-users] Freezing after a minute of TV watching

Fellow MythTV'rs,
 
First of all, happy thanksgiving to all of the Americans on the list.
 
My friend came over on Tuesday evening and we had a MythTV marathon.
Everything was working great by 10am (we started at 2am). Last night I got
greedy and tried to make it work through my digital cable box.
 
My setup: rh9, mythtv .12, pvr250, amd 2200xp, 120gb maxtor, sb live (kernel
sound)
 
Now, every time I go and watch tv, within a minute or so, my box completely
freezes and the sound just goes on a high screech (EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE).
 
I have tried resetting the capture card drivers in mythtv setup but to no
avail.
 
Any ideas what could be wrong and/or how I should go about fixing or
debugging it?
