[mythtv-users] Up and Running using Jarod's Guide

Just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who responded to my
questions, especially Jarod, and helped me to get Mythtv setup over the
last month. As a newbie to Linux and Mythtv, this has been a fairly
challenging process, but I am about to move the box from my "development
studio" (actually, just a little corner on my side of the bedroom : ) to
the living room where I hope that my wife will finally be able to reap
the benefits of my work. She was very impressed by the demo I gave of
the system, so all that remains is to see how stable it is over the long
term. If it works out like I hope, it will be replacing our Tivo. I'm
also building a second mythtv system for me to continue tinkering with
in my "development studio", so whichever box shows the most stability
will become the main, full-time living room system.

Again thanks for everyone's help!

p.s. I have some feedback on your guide that I will send you after
Thanksgiving that may help others get around some problems I encountered
(actually the guide was correct, but it seems that there are steps that
you cannot return to, like running IRW once you get past a certain
point. I'm going to test on my second system, take notes, and send them
to you).
