Subject: [mythtv-users] IVTV stops working, can't use
test_ioctl?

Just wondering if anyone has seen this problem before.
I had my PVR-250 up and running on RH9, kernel
2.4.20-8 by compiling IVTV from the latest CVS
tarball (copying the videodev2.h file over.)
Everything was working great, and I made a few test
captures.
But after a reboot, I can't make recordings anymore.
When I try to set the video input using
test_ioctl, I get:
# /usr/lib/ivtv/test_ioctl -p 6
ioctl: VIDIOC_S_INPUT
ioctl: VIDIOC_S_INPUT failed
When I try to capture some video with "cat /dev/video0
> temp.mpg", the command immediately
returns with no errors, and I get a 0 byte test.mpg
file.
/dev/video0 exists, and lspci shows that the PVR-250
is being recognized properly.
---------------------------------------------------
test_ioctl -d /dev/video3 -p 6
Your card is on video3, not video0...
Cheers,
-Peter
