[mythtv-users] transcoding defaults

I've really managed to confuse myself concerning transcoding.  Could 
someone post (or direct me to where I may find) the default transcoding 
settings?  I think I got mine out of whack since I enabled automatic 
transcoding for one of my profiles yesterday and my recordings last night 
ended up going from ~700MB/hr to over 8GB/hr... isn't transcoding supposed 
to make the recordings smaller!?
