Is this the Kernel you have installed?

	What's the output of

	ls - l /boot/

	?

Looks like you have the standard rh9 kernel installed. That's 2.4.20-8
not 2.4.20-20.9.

Why apt-get want's to install 2.4.20-29.9 modules in that case? I have
no idea.

	Just a guess, though!

Hi Torsten,

I did what you said (ls -l /boot/) and here is the output:

Does this mean that I have 2.4.20-8 installed or 2.4.20-20.9 (remember,
I'm a newbie to Linux)? I'm guessing from the output that I have both
the original kernel (2.4.20-8) and the 2.4.20-20.9. When I start up, it
looks like I'm booting with 2.4.20-20.9...

I've setup my mail account on the Linux machine, but I had to type this
response up based on the original message received on my other machine,
so if the formatting is wonky, I apologize.

Thanks,

-Aleaxander
